May My Kingdom Come
"ET QUE MON REGNE ARRIVE", an hour-and-twenty-minute show (1h20mn), highlights the dramatic universe traversed by three characters: EYITOPE OSIMORE (the intellectual), TEDOXE (the young girl in search of sentimental bearings) and UNTCHU (the local lad).
About the show
Between political discourse and relational interaction, in a staging that is both sober and uncluttered, this show is intended to be a space of almost intimate communion with the audience.
Thus, through the power of words invaded by a universe of jazz music (from Fella Kutsy to Nat King Kole, via David ZOUNGRANA), the actors evolve in a scenographic space split in two. One characterizing the universe of EYTOPE ESIMORE, symbol of the intellectual woman, memory of the lucidity of intimate and spiritual feminine knowledge; and the other representing both the contemporary universe of the young girl TEDOXE and the bar of the GARS DU COIN, UNTCHU.
"Today, contemporary writing makes it its duty to pose the problem of contemporary tragedy. We have to take care of lives. We must inspire hope, sow the seeds of dreams. We need to clean up our relationship with others, with the world." Odile SANKARA
